If you own a gas car and have been considering buying a new Rivian, now could be a great time to act. The automaker is offering up to $6,000 off a new R1S SUV or R1T pickup for buyers willing to request a trade-in of a gas vehicle.

While Rivian requires that prospective buyers request a trade-in, they aren’t actually required to complete the process. Discounts include up to $3,000 for R1T and R1S models with the Max battery pack, dropping their prices to $80,900 and $86,900, respectively.

Rivian is offering up to $4,500 off dual-motor vehicles equipped with the Max battery and performance upgrade package. That makes the R1T $84,400 and drops the R1S to $90,400. The most significant discount reaches $6,000 and is offered on Rivian’s Tri-Motor vehicles with the Max battery pack, making the R1T $100,900 to start and the R1S $94,900.

The discounts help mitigate Rivian’s premium-level pricing and almost make up for its vehicles’ lack of federal tax credit eligibility, though there’s no telling how much longer the credits will be available at all.

It’s worth noting that Rivian’s Dual Large and Dual Standard models are not included in the promotion, and the automaker is only offering the deals in the U.S and Canada. Orders must be placed between January 21 and March 31, with delivery required by that end date.
