Trump Suggests Throwing Tesla Attackers in El Salvador Jail

trumps suggests throwing tesla attackers in el salvador jail

By way of a social media post, President Donald Trump ratcheted up his rhetoric about anyone caught vandalizing a Tesla. Specifically, he suggested shipping those people to the prisons of El Salvador.

“I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla,” Trump wrote. “Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!”

While official government policy hasn’t traditionally been made through social media, this statement does align with news that Attorney General Pam Bondi recently hauled at least three suspects in Tesla attacks in on federal charges. Twenty years in prison seems to be the going rate these days for this type of activity, at least according to reports and comments from the feds. People within the Trump administration have said the violence against Tesla can be viewed as domestic terrorism.

You’d have to be living under a particularly infectious rock to not know that Elon Musk is a very close political ally to Donald Trump and funded his presidential re-election effort to the tune of nearly $300 million. Despite words to the contrary by some in government, Musk also spearheads the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which had put itself in charge of slashing federal spending.

Trump weighed in Tesla earlier this month, saying people are “illegally and collusively” boycotting the EV automaker. We’ll let you weigh in on the optics of a sitting president using such language in regard to a company led by a guy who is a major political donor. He then went on to turn the White House into a Tesla dealership for a few hours, though we haven’t been told if he took any fresh ups or at least got a few credit checks.
