Here’s one for those who like to use aftermarket performance parts to modify their cars — and, for whatever reason, run methanol fuel*. Holley has recalled some of its fuel pumps.
*So, basically, those who race cars on weekends.
Holley Performance Products is recalling 2,413 units of its 140 GPH BLACK electric fuel pumps, part number 12-815-1, because they may not be compatible with methanol fuel, which could damage the pump and cause a leak. Owners will receive instructions not to use methanol fuel, and pumps will be replaced at no cost for those who have used or plan to use ethanol fuel. Notifications are expected to be mailed on August 29, 2025. Holley customer service can be reached at 1-800-638-0032.
