Ford’s new plans involving the future production of an electric truck are ambitious, but will they work?
I’ve already seen one scathing review from one of the industry’s more influential opinionistas.
Peter DeLorenzo takes some shots at Ford, suggesting that while Ford’s ideas are nice, the company’s inability to get launches right means that the future truck’s production may be delayed. He’s also skeptical about the $30K base price being achievable, and he points out that Trump’s anti-EV policies could doom the project.
But DeLorenzo is just one man. A smart man with ties to industry and plenty of automotive expertise, but even the best informed sometimes have bad opinions or make incorrect predictions.
So the question is, what’s your opinion? Do you think it will work, or not?
Or are you like me and decidedly unsure? Like Marvin in Pulp Fiction, I don’t even have an opinion. At least, not yet*
I do have opinions about EVs and our current government. Stay tuned.
Anyway, it’s your turn. Will Ford have this product ready in two years? If so, will it find a lot of buyers? Or is it all hype?
You know what to do. Sound off below.
