Tesla boss Elon Musk and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, are fighting on social media. This comes shortly after Musk’s time as a special government employee came to an end.
Imagine going back in time and telling your 2013 self this.
Anyway, the fighting has, perhaps predictably, touched upon Musk’s businesses. Trump seems to think that Musk’s anger towards “the Big Beautiful Bill”, which started this spat, is based on the bill removing subsidies for electric vehicles.
Regardless of why Elon is upset about the bill, it is true that Tesla shares fell 14 percent today and the company’s value dropped by $152 billion to fall under the $1 trillion mark, ending at $916 billion.
So yeah, Tesla was affected today. But will it be affected going forward? Will it bounce back, keep going down, or something in between?
