General Motors is touting its new design studio in the United Kingdom by also showing an electric Chevrolet Corvette concept.
This is a design study as GM and Chevy lurch towards the launch of the next Corvette — the C9 generation. Which means that the visuals will likely change. It also doesn’t mean that the car will be solely electric or even offered with an available electric powertrain.
My very speculative and uninformed guess is that the next ‘Vette will offer a variety of ICE, hybrid, and EV options.
Nonetheless, there will almost certainly be an electric Corvette at some point sooner rather than later.
So, how do you feel about that? Will an EV ‘Vette be sacrilegious? Or will it not matter if the car offers amazing performance and is also very quiet? How much will other EV-related concerns like charge time and range play a part?
