Nissan Qashqai e-Power recalled

Nissan Australia has recalled 380 examples of its Qashqai e-Power, due to a fault that can cause the small hybrid SUV to enter limp-home mode.

“Due to incorrect Battery Management System (BMS) software calibration, the calculated battery state of charge may rapidly fluctuate,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“This may cause the vehicle to activate limp-home mode potentially resulting in a loss of motive power whilst driving and an inability to restart the engine.

“A loss of motive power may increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
