We saw photos of the new Sentra a short while ago, but Nissan just released specs for the updated car. The 2026 Sentra arrives later in 2025 with a redesigned exterior, a new cabin, updated tech, and more advanced driver-assistance features.

The Sentra’s new front-end design borrows some elements from the Ariya and other Nissan models, with a unique V-motion grille and slim headlights. LED daytime running lights are available, and some models feature an animated lighting sequence on approach and departure.

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is the only option, making 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. Nissan revised the transmission to give it a more natural feel, which should help cut down on engine noise levels at higher speeds.

Tech features include a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which become wireless in higher trims. The SL trim gets an eight-speaker Bose stereo, and the top SL and SR trims come with a surround-view camera system and moving object detection.

The top SL trim returns for 2026, offering 17-inch wheels, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a sunroof. Nissan also equips synthetic leather upholstery with a diamond stitching pattern. Safety equipment is generous, with a range of standard features that include lane departure warnings, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and more.
