Love them or hate them, there’s no denying the expansive appeal of the Duck-Duck-Jeep movement. Started by Allison Parliament, who sadly passed away last year, the trend involves placing colorful floating duck toys on other owners’ Jeeps to show enthusiasm about the brand. Now, Hertz is getting in on the fun with its fleet of 2025 Wrangler 4xes. Drivers renting one of the SUVs may find a hidden duck in their vehicle, which comes with surprise offers, discounts, and more.

Lucy McLellan, Jeep’s head of North American marketing, said, “The Jeep Wrangler is made for summer. The first hint of warm weather and sunshine means opening up or removing the top for owners to enjoy the open-air freedom the Wrangler offers. Our partnership with Hertz gives drivers who haven’t yet experienced the perks that come with Wrangler ownership the opportunity to see for themselves firsthand the joys of driving on the open road during their summer travels, receiving a ‘Jeep Wave,’ getting ‘ducked’ and taking part in a community culture that brings smiles to owners and passers-by around every corner.”

Hertz and Jeep partnered to create an exclusive duck toy. If found, the prize could be discounts on future rentals, free upgrades, and other perks. That said, Hertz expects the Wranglers to be in high demand, saying that it’s important to reserve one as soon as possible to ensure availability.
