GM Offering Electric Chevrolet BrightDrop Vans With a Significant Discount

Commercial vans don’t always get the attention they deserve, especially electric models, but there’s a battle heating up between GM’s Chevrolet BrightDrop electric van and Rivian’s RCV. Chevy is offering massive incentives on its vans, making them up to 40 percent cheaper, and both models are now available to everyday buyers.

BrightDrop started as a standalone company, but GM wrapped it into the Chevy brand last year. The 400-model vans normally cost almost $80,000, but discounts, cash incentives, and rebates can cut up to $31,000 from that price. Chevy’s deals are only available for 2025 model-year vans, and the incentives start to expire in May.

The base BrightDrop 400 offers 412.1 cubic feet of interior storage space, but the larger 600 has around 50 percent more. Front- and all-wheel drive powertrain options are available, and Chevy offers a max battery pack for AWD models that boosts the standard range number from approximately 180 miles to more than 300.

While these are solid deals on vans, BrightDrop’s vehicles won’t be the most comfortable or family-friendly without some upgrading. The Chevy is described as an “all-purpose, all-electric walk-in van,” meaning it’ll do anything you want, but it’s a blank canvas to start. Automakers offer upfits, storage solutions, and other options for vans, but the starting price generally only buys the shell and powertrain.
