The lucky kids had their parents take them to a car lot and say, “Choose one.” That moment of chance dictated what you would drive in your youth. What if there was a cool car on the lot? Would Dad have an issue with a vehicle that had mag wheels, even if it was a Gremlin?
This week’s AutoHunter Picks are like that car lot. Every day, there is a different mix of cars listed for sale on AutoHunter and, at this moment, these are the cars that I wish to bring to your attention. Are you fine with these or do you need to glance through AutoHunter to see what else is there on the lot?

2003 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG
Years ago, when these were not yet available in the American market, I tested a Renntech G-Wagen that accelerated without abandon. Then, for 2002, Mercedes decided to bring the G-Class to the U.S.

This is the super-duper G55 AMG version powered by a 5.4-liter V8 with 349 horsepower, which seems so quaint today, but that was hot stuff back then. The color is also an attraction considering so many are blasé in black.

2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing
I’ve lusted after Cadillac’s sportiest sedans enough that I fantasize whether I’d rather have any over a 911 or an RS6 Avant.

It’s hard to argue with a twin-turbo V6 that’s putting out close to 500 horsepower, but what strikes me most about this sport-sedan-to-end-all-sport-sedans is the Natural Tan and Jet Black leather interior paired with the Wave Metallic paint.

2002 Ford Thunderbird Neiman Marcus Edition
If you visited your local Gump’s, Bergdorf Goodman, or Wannamaker’s, you would not find this Thunderbird there. But if you glanced through the traditional Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, you could buy this unique, limited-edition T-bird.

All 200 built for the famous department store were Evening Black with a Satin Silver hardtop.

1980 Bradley GT2
Several times in my youth, I saw what looked like a carnival car in someone’s carport or backyard. I did not know what they were aside from the fact they were built from some kit and based on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis.

Lo and behold, here we have an actual running and driving Bradley GT. This one is a GT2, the updated version that appears to have been penned by former Shelby American alum John Chun.
