John Lingenfelter’s name is synonymous with extracting power from General Motors’ small-block V8. When you combine the work of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering with the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, it’s like performing sorcery that would make Aleister Crowley jealous. A supernatural car like that is currently featured on AutoHunter: a Lingenfelter-massaged 2007 Corvette Z06 with just 12,142 miles on the clock.
The Black exterior is complemented by brake cooling intakes and engine air extractors, plus another intake on the hood. Other features include color-matched mirror caps and “Z06” and “Lingenfelter” badges. The LS7 7.0-liter V8 was factory-rated at 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. However, thanks to Lingenfelter modifying the small-block when it had 10,000 miles, the 11.5:1 engine produces a dyno-rated 648 horses and 560 lb-ft of torque. Some of the mods include ported and milled heads, a COMP Cams camshaft, port-matched intake, higher-capacity fuel injectors, American Racing long-tube headers and high-flow catalysts, Corsa Performance stainless steel exhaust system, and much more. A six-speed manual helps connect the power to the road.
