Right now on AutoHunter, you can find this 1969 AMC AMX, which is powered by a replacement 290ci V8 paired with a Shift-Command three-speed automatic transmission. Highlights include power steering and front disc brakes, a new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and long-tube headers. Finished in Butternut Yellow with black and red stripes over a Saddle Tan vinyl interior, this two-seater is now offered by the selling dealer in Kentucky with a clear title.

Originally Hunter Green, the body was repainted the current Butternut Yellow and accented with black and red stripes. Exterior features include a black front lip spoiler, chrome bumpers, driver-side mirror, body-color rear spoiler, and two pairs of exhaust outlets.

A newer set of 205/70 front and 235/60 rear Goodyear Radial T/A radial tires surround the 14-inch mag-style wheels.

The interior is a mix of earthtones: Saddle Tan vinyl with brown components, and wood trim on the center stack and console. Features include manual windows, clock, auxiliary horn button, and power steering.

Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for temperature and fuel. The rolled-over odometer shows 3,075 miles, which equates to 103,075 miles.

Under the hood, the original engine has been replaced with a Typhoon 290ci V8 running 10:1 compression, which helped it achieve factory ratings of 225 horsepower at 4,700 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm. The engine is equipped with a new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, new spark plugs and spark plug wires, an aftermarket ignition coil, long-tube headers, and an aluminum radiator. The powerplant sends horses to the rear wheels through a Shift-Command three-speed automatic.

An independent front suspension, rear leaf springs, and power front disc and rear drum brakes help keep this AMX on the road.

If you want this 1969 AMC AMX on the road to your house, bid on it now. The auction ends on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 11:15 a.m. (MST).
