AutoHunter Spotlight: 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

Currently listed on AutoHunter is this 1964 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Powering this premium Caddy is a 429 V8 paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic—both new for 1964. Features include full power options, optional bucket seats and console, a tilt steering column, and more. Finished in bright red with a white top over a white and red vinyl interior, this top-of-the-line Cadillac convertible comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

The original color for this Cadillac was Firemist Saddle metallic with a Sandalwood top; now it is a bright red with a white top—power-operated, of course. Other features include a driver-side chrome remote mirror, lower-body chrome trim, a Fleetwood-spec rear grille, and a remote trunk lock. A set of 15-inch wheels with wire wheel covers is wrapped in 235/75 whitewall radials.

The original Sandalwood leather interior with front buckets has been replaced by white and red vinyl. Interior features include a red dashboard and carpet, a center console, woodgrain trim, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a tilt steering column, power windows/locks, an aftermarket retro-look AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, and more. This Eldorado was originally equipped with air conditioning, but the compressor has been removed.

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the water temperature and fuel, plus a clock. The odometer currently shows 35,081 miles though the title reads mileage-exempt.

The 429ci V8 was rated at 340 horsepower when new. It is backed by a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, the first application of this transmission (shared with Buick) that would be more widely available within GM the following model year.

The undercarriage features power drum brakes at all four corners. Emissions are carried to the rear via a single exhaust system.

There’s nothing finer than cruising in a Cadillac convertible, and this one isn’t your typical Series 62—it’s an Eldorado! This car is the symbol of glamour for 1964. Why not create envy and park this 1964 Cadillac Eldorado convertible in your driveway? Bid on this AutoHunter Spotlight car now because the auction will end on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 12:45 p.m. (PDT).
