GWM Haval H7 recalled

by

GWM is recalling its recently launched Haval H7 mid-size SUV to address an issue with its head restraints.

“The Haval H7 headrest utilises a unilateral locking mechanism, where the locking pin slides downward along the headrest rod into the lock slot to secure the position,” the company says in its recall notice.

“In affected vehicles, the locking groove may be out of specification, preventing proper engagement when the headrest is set to the lowest non-locking position.

“In the Haval H7, the headrest may detach during a severe frontal collision.”
