2017 Dodge Charger Hellcat
The Challenger gets all the glory, but here we have a 2017 Dodge Charger with Hellcat power! It also has an ultra-low 2,983 miles on it (verified by CARFAX), so it’s practically new! Only 1,889 were produced, of which 85 were built this hue called Redline. Black SRT Laguna leather upholstery and all the interior accoutrements you’d ever want too!
As Dodge is no longer building Chargers with 707 horsepower, would you keep it a Sunday driver or drive its wheels off like any late-model car?
2011 Mercedes-Benz E 350 Cabriolet
Ever since the E-Class debuted for 1986, I’ve been a fan, and the evolution of the model over the years hasn’t changed my view (though don’t ask me about today’s version!). When Mercedes introduced the four-eyed look, it spawned a host of imitators but, more impressive to me, the squared-up successor was a solid evolution of the theme.
This 2011 E 350 features low miles (37,351) and a nice combo of power and economy that this series is known for, all wrapped up in a droptop.
2000 Saleen S281 Coupe
Tired of being a Mustang owner and seeing yourself every time you drive down the street? Here’s your tonic: a Saleen! For 2000, Saleen built only 979 Mustangs, including 307 S281 Coupes like this one. Finished in Silver Clearcoat Metallic with black graphics, this is a Mustang of a different stripe.
Saleen’s charm was in its suspension, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a horsepower bump as well. With only 21,980 miles, this is a great modern collectible.
1969 AMC AMX
Chalk me up as one of the few who may prefer the Javelin over this. Why? Maybe it’s the scooped hood with the Go Package, or the available stripes and roof spoiler. Or maybe familiarity breeds contempt, and I just happen to see fewer like that than AMXs.
Nevertheless, I like this AMX for what it’s not: a 390 Go Pack car. 343s are much rarer and, if you’re not a purist, I see this car as being a nice donor to create a Day 2 car—maybe not like the one in this ad, but something with vintage speed equipment.
