Ram may bring back the V8 engine, but in the meantime, it’s doing everything it can to make you forget about the inline-six under the hood of its new trucks. Jokes about the engine aside, the new Ram 1500 RHO’s performance is nearly as impressive as last year’s supercharged V8-powered TRX, and the automaker is offering a Mopar upgrade package with elements from the brand’s 2024 SEMA show truck.

The Mopar package is a super-limited offering, with just 250 units headed to the U.S. and 25 to Canada. It features Mopar Blue and grey graphics on black paint and includes 18-inch wheels with 35-inch tires and beadlock capability. Ram also fits a bed-mounted spare tire carrier and the RamBar (sport bar) accessory.

Mopar accents continue inside, and each truck gets a serialized badge with its production number mounted on the center console. Other features come with the available RHO Level 1 options package, including leather upholstery with heating and ventilation, a 14.5-inch touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch passenger display screen.

The RHO’s Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo engine is a 3.0-liter mill making 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. While shy of the TRX’s numbers by a bit, the engine provides strong performance, including a 4.6-second 0-60 mph time, a 118-mph top speed, and a 13.1-second quarter mile at 105 mph.

The Mopar ’25 Package adds $6,500 to the RHO’s price, but getting the options package and black paint drives the price to $88,730, a fair spike over the truck’s $72,000 starting price.
