AutoHunter Spotlight: 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z51

During the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the all-new seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was crowned the “North American Car of the Year.” The other two finalists that year were the Mazda 3 and the Cadillac CTS. Chevrolet scored more than one home run because its Silverado pickup was named the “North American Truck of the Year.” Winner-winner!

Featured on AutoHunter, your go-to auction hub for collectible cars, trucks and everything in-between, is this 11K-mile 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2LT Z51. It is being offered by a dealer in Sarasota, Florida, and the auction will end on Monday.

A story from USA Today talked about Chevrolet’s achievement: “GM designed the seventh-generation Corvette to rival Porsche 911 and other world-class sports cars. Yet it retains a very American feel – and a classic push-rod V8.” The new Corvette was praised for being both more nimble and more powerful than the car it replaced. Chevrolet went on to build and sell 189,507 C7 Corvettes during the six model years between 2014 through 2019 – some as targa-top coupes and some as convertibles. All were manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on the General Motors Y-body platform.

Finished in Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat, this low-mileage car came from the final year of that generation. The window sticker shows an original retail price of $72,925, which reflects a significant hike from the standard price of $60,495. The car is equipped with a long list of options, including the 2LT package, an automatic transmission, remote start, satin black wheels, a spoiler, custom-finished brake calipers, a Carbon Flash hood stripe, and more.

The CARFAX report shows one-owner history in Florida since new, with no accidents or damage reported. According to that document, the car was sold new from Schumacher Automotive in Palm Beach Gardens almost exactly seven years ago – on March 5, 2018, when it showed 10 miles on the odometer. From there, the records indicate consistent dealer maintenance. The most recent oil change took place in February 2024 at 10,569 miles.

What made the C7 Corvette so popular among the journalists who reviewed it (and of course, among the buyers who took C7s home)? A proper sports car needed to handle, brake, and sound as well as it accelerated. Some of the advancements in the C7 included an all-aluminum chassis (57% stiffer and 100 pounds lighter than the C6), carbon fiber panels, and a new engine.

Specifically, that engine was an LT1 6.2-liter direct-injected V8 with continuously variable valve timing. It was both more powerful and more fuel-efficient than its predecessor. Chevrolet rated the powertrain at 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new.

With just 11,294 miles on the odometer, this ‘Vette’s LT1 is barely broken in. The icing on the cake is that the car is optioned with the Z51 Performance Package, which brought the right equipment to the table. That includes a performance suspension, slotted brake rotors, and an electronic limited-slip differential.

“Stir more than your subconscious,” one television advertisement said about the C7 Corvette. Does a 460-horsepower two-seater stir up emotions for you? Then you know what to do next. Head over to AutoHunter and place a bid today.

The auction for this 11K-mile 2019 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT Z51 ends Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11:15 a.m. (MST).
