2025 Subaru WRX tS Spec B: STI-tuned manual flagship priced for Australia

Subaru Australia has announced pricing for the recently unveiled WRX tS Spec B, its new STI-tuned, manual-only flagship.

Revealed last month, the Spec B builds on the existing top-spec WRX tS grade, while also taking parts from last year’s limited-run Club Spec SE and overseas variants.

Priced from $61,490 before on-road costs, the tS Spec B is the most expensive WRX ever sold in Australia that isn’t a fully fledged STI.

It’s $3500 more than the tS auto, and $8500 more than the RS manual which was the most expensive three-pedal WRX.

Hundreds of new car deals are available through CarExpert right now. Get the experts on your side and score a great deal. Browse now.

However, it’s loaded with performance parts not available elsewhere in the WRX lineup.

WRX tS Spec B-specific equipment includes:

  • 19-inch matte grey alloy wheels
  • Bridgestone Potenza S007 tyres
  • STI rear wing
  • Recaro seats
    • Eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat
    • Four-way manually adjustable passenger seat
  • Gold Brembo brake calipers
    • Six-piston front, two-piston rear
  • STI steering wheel logo
  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • STI performance exhaust mufflers (no-cost option)
  • US-market digital instrument cluster

While the Club Spec previously featured the same wheels, tyres, wing, brakes and seats, the tS Spec B’s addition of the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is new for Australia, having first launched in Japan and the US early last year.

Subaru also says the WRX tS Spec B is equipped with its new Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS), which can monitor driver input and bring the car to a controlled stop with hazard lights activated when needed.

The WRX tS Spec B forgoes the sunroof available on the WRX GT, RS and tS, however carryover equipment from the previous flagship grade includes electronically controlled dampers which are linked to the five drive modes: Comfort, Normal, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.

There’s no extra power though, with the new flagship continuing with the same turbocharged 2.4-litre ‘boxer’ four-cylinder engine as the rest of the WRX range, producing 202kW and 350Nm.

A six-speed manual transmission is mated to the engine, while an all-wheel drive system with torque-vectoring delivers power to the road.

Buyers can order the WRX tS Spec B in one of eight colours, with the new Galaxy Purple Pearl replacing Solar Orange Pearl. Other finishes are listed below:

  • Crystal Black
  • Sapphire Blue
  • WR Blue
  • Magnetite Grey
  • Ignition Red
  • Ice Silver
  • Ceramic White

Pre-orders for the Subaru WRX tS Spec B are now open, and can be placed here.
