Now on AutoHunter is this 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo convertible conversion by the R. Straman Company. It’s powered by a VG30DETT twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Finished in black over a black leather interior, this Z32 drop-top is now offered by the selling dealer with a 1990 issue of Car & Driver, clean CARFAX report, and clear title.

The black coupe body was modified into a convertible by R. Straman Company. It features fog lights, red stripes above the rocker panels, power mirrors with body-color caps, a new black soft top with a plastic rear window, and a rear spoiler.

Below the modified exterior is a set of 18-inch Nissan 350Z wheels wrapped in 225/45 front and 245/45 rear Hankook Ventus tires.

The cockpit offers black leather seating for two. Features include power windows, custom red “Z” embroidery on the backrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Bluetooth-compatible Sony AM/FM stereo with Bose speakers.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, 9,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the temperature, boost pressure, oil pressure, and fuel level. The analog odometer shows 129,922 miles; the latest CARFAX mileage reading is 129,649 miles as of April 2024.

Under the hood is a VG30DETT twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that was factory-rated at 300 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. That’s coupled with a five-speed manual transmission equipped with a new clutch. According to the seller, the timing belt and head gaskets were replaced last year.

Engine output is sent to the rear wheels, but steering power reaches all four wheels through the Super HICAS (High Capacity Actively Controlled Steering) system. The adjustable four-wheel independent suspension offers two settings: Sport and Touring. Four-wheel power disc brakes keep the twin-turbo engine’s power under control.

The auction for this 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo convertible ends on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. (MST).
