Volkswagen Australia has announced price cuts for both both five- and seven-seat versions of its ID. Buzz electric people mover as the German auto brand looks to move stock before the end of 2025.

Until December 31 or when stock runs out, the five-seat ID. Buzz Pro will cost you $79,990 drive-away, a saving of more than $8000 from its standard price of $87,990 before on-road costs.

Seven-seat versions of the ID. Buzz Pro are now priced at $84,990 drive-away, down from $91,290 before on-road costs.

The seven-seat, all-wheel drive ID. Buzz GTX flagship, which accounts for 20 per cent of ID. Buzz sales, remains priced at $109,990 before on-road costs.

The pricing does not include the iconic Kombi two-tone paintwork, which Volkswagen Australia says graces almost half of its stock (oddly quoting 43 per cent) – and costs an extra $4090.

Volkswagen’s ID. Buzz shares its dedicated-electric MEB platform with other Volkswagen Group models including the Audi Q4 e-tron, Cupra Born and Skoda Enyqa.

The standard ID. Buzz comes with a 210kW/560Nm electric motor powering the rear wheels, and standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights with adaptive high-beam, adaptive cruise control and ‘easy open’ powered sliding doors.

Inside, there’s a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen including a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, and seven USB ports throughout, plus front and rear parking sensors.

Buyers can also add options – apart from the two-tone paint – such as 21-inch alloy wheels ($1900), and infotainment package including Harmon Kardon audio and a head-up display ($2200), a panoramic glass sunroof with smart glass ($3290), and interior style package ($6480).

The temporary price reduction doesn’t stem from slow sales, given the ID. Buzz has proved popular since it arrived in Australia in 2024.

Year-to-date, 323 examples have been sold, making it easily the nation’s top-selling people mover priced above $70,000, and the fourth most popular at any price point.

It also makes the ID. Buzz Australia’s best-selling electric people mover, albeit in a small pool that also includes the Zeekr 009. MORE: Explore the Volkswagen ID.Buzz showroom
