The Maserati Grecale Tributo Il Bruciato was designed by Fuoriserie, Maserati’s personalisation division, in conjunction with the Marchesi Antinori wine-making family.

According to Giovanni Perosino, the automaker’s chief marketing officer, the limited edition model is a “tribute to Italian know-how”.

The limited edition SUV is a tribute to Antinori’s Il Bruciato wine, and as such the exterior is finished in a unique hue known as Alchimia Scarlatta that mimics the “intense red of the wine in motion in a glass, taking on a thousand different hues and shining depending on how it reflects the light”.

To achieve this effect, Maserati used a ChromaFlair pigment, as well as a burgundy base coat with a layer of coppery gold and then dark raspberry on top.

Buyers can choose between the Pegaso Forgiati or Crio Fuoriserie designs for the 21-inch alloy wheels, which can be finished in gloss black.

The interior continues the red wine theme with tan and dark red leather used for various surfaces, including the seats, door trims, arm rests, and centre console. There’s also a dark red trident logo on the headrest and ribbed weave on the seats.

Standard equipment includes a 14-speaker Sonus faber sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.

No pricing has been revealed for the Tributo Il Bruciato, but it’s likely to be steep as the car will be built as a “series of one-offs” by the Fuoriserie personalisation division.
