The Toyota GR Yaris Morizo RR has been shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon, with the special edition featuring several performance and visual upgrades.
Toyota says the GR Yaris Morizo RR was created using lessons learned from the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours race in Germany, with an “exclusive suspension setting” created for the hot hatch.
A carbon-fibre rear wing created for the Nürburgring event has also been fitted to the Morizo RR, along with a carbon-fibre bonnet, body kit, and several exclusive additions like a unique radiator grille and paint highlights.
Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda competed in the GR Yaris at the 24-hour endurance race under his pseudonym ‘Morizo’, and is said to have helped develop a Morizo Mode button – replacing Gravel Mode on the GR Yaris – which sets the front-to-rear torque output to 50:50.

The special-edition vehicle comes exclusively with an eight-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic Transmission, which Toyoda-san credits with enabling him to complete 15 laps of the 21-kilometre track.
The car’s electronic power steering system has also been modified.
Inside, the cabin features suede with yellow stitching on a GR steering wheel, exclusive seats with yellow stitching, and a Morizo mode on the digital instrument cluster.
Just 100 are being made for Japan and a further 100 for Europe, with each vehicle to come with a numbered plaque.
