2026 Polestar 4 price and specs

Polestar has confirmed unchanged pricing for its MY26 Polestar 4 mid-size electric SUV range, as well as a few minor specification changes for the electric vehicle (EV) brand’s Tesla Model Y rival.

The entry-level single-motor variant will continue to retail from $78,500 before on-road costs, while the dual-motor flagship is priced at $88,350 plus on-roads.

Updates for 2026 include the introduction of physical steering wheel buttons which replace the touch-sensitive controls found in MY25 examples. Polestar has also tinkered with the option packs available for the Polestar 4, moving an illuminated front Polestar logo, high-level interior illumination, and boot storage net to the $8000 Plus Pack.

The Nappa leather upgrade pack is now between $900 and $1300 cheaper, depending on the chosen colour.

The distinctively styled Polestar 4 has quickly become the Chinese-owned Swedish brand’s most popular model in Australia, with 151 registrations in September contributing to a 2025 tally of 1033 units in its first full year on sale.

That puts the sleek SUV ahead of the ageing Polestar 2 fastback (661 sales, down 48.64 per cent), and the Polestar 3 large SUV (173 units).

The Polestar 4 is also outselling rivals such as the Skoda Enyaq, Kia EV5, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Audi Q6 e-tron. However, the Tesla Model Y still dominates the mid-size electric SUV segment (and Australia’s EV market overall).
